Hakf-life 2 on intel graphics

I tried playing half-life 2 on a laptop with Intel 945 graphics, and with settings at low I got a good framrate. I get to a point in the game where you go through a door and the next part of the level loads p, then the game crashes to desktop. Is there a way to fix it?

First, laptops are not designed for games. Second, playing Half-Life 2 with on-board video will always crash.

The game always crashed on my desktop computer until I bought a video card. It's 5X faster and never crashed again.

Many laptops can play games pretty well actually. In the old days sure, they had the standard video stuff, but these days they come with 3d accelerators just like PC's. Not the best out there, but specifically built for laptops.
