ok ok got mame, lovin it, lovin every game, bringin back childhood memories. ive been a big rom freak for some time now....well the simple to operate emu's anyways (fceu, zsnes, gens etc. etc.) but im fairly new to the MAME thing. after reading (hours of reading by the way) and learning about it i got it setup pretty good with about 250+ games so far. only one problem, the freakin killer instinct1 and killer instinct2 big no-no thing. i know youall know what im talkin about. cant get it online only p2p. limewire doesnt have it. anyone know where i can get it (without using a torrent)? pm or reply would be fantastic! (well you prob wont reply with the info of course;), but maybe some pointers or something. im sure all you vet rommers know what im talkin bout! oh by the way sorry for the long ass 'graph, and im a noob to these forums. glad to be here by the way!:D

You need the .chd files.
Such as kinst.chd for Killer Instinct 1. (about 95MB)

Sorry but your best bet are torrents...mainly on private trackers. ;)
Google for the kinst.chd and you'll find it eventually.

Hm... I don't think I am allowed to post a link to the kinst and kinst2 images.

Anyway, find kinst.img and kinst2.img, then download chdman right here:

Put them in a folder, open command prompt, navigate to that folder, then enter:

chdman -createhd kinst.img kinst.chd and
chdman -createhd kinst2.img kinst2.chd

It will create the CHDs for you in the same folder.

Or just buy the original arcade boards and use chdman and the harddisks to create them :P
