As stated on my profile, my video card has the ATI Radeon 9200 chipset and I'm currently running Catalyst 6.5. Well, Catalyst 6.6 has been released lately and then I decided to update my driver, but the problem is that my card appears as an unsupported card. Does this mean I can't upgrade my video card driver anymore?

Pretty much, yes. The drivers are no longer designed with your card in mind. Either the drivers will refuse to install on your system, or they may install, but your system may become unstable, or suffer performance problems, etc. The 9200 series is pretty old, and I can't remember whether or not it was based on the 8500 series, but I wouldn't be surprised. I know the 8500 series was said to have hardware flaws, which is probably why they are starting to drop it & cards based on it, that and its damn old and sucks

Yep, your card is obsolete.

supposedly the newer drivers are optimized for the latest cards, so you'd want to stick with older drivers to get the most performance

Oh well, I guess I have to upgrade my card.

*starts saving money...*

Which of these are good for me? I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I want the best performance at an affordable price. Many friends said the X800 suits me well.

Yeah, I'd go with the X800, why do you like Radeon so much? hahaha

Because I hate GeForces.

damn... I would've gone with the 6800 GT as an affordable yet dependable card.

Never had a Nvidia product that gave me install or driver hassles personally. I would only ever buy an ATI card if it were cheaper than a similar performing Nvidia card.
