HELP pokemon fire red moving problem

so i have the fire red rom and when i start playing it it's like the game lags or something cuz when i press in the keybord th up arrow the sprite waits a few seconds before actually moving and when i let go of the key the sprite continues moving :( somebody know of this problem????

oh it's fixed know i downloaded the vbalink 1.8 beta and it works good thanks anyways
