How do you get a pc game to work from the internet?

That depends on the game. Most games that you download from the 'net are ripped from CD's, and will need a no-cd crack for them to work properly.
You cannot ask for information on where to obtain those kinds of cracks as far as I know. Some countries consider them legal, while others do not.

Do you have to mount these cds all the time?

Well, if you get just the game files ripped off a CD, then no. Since all you have is the files, you just need the crack to bypass the CD check. You might miss out on movies and music but that's about it.
As for actual CD images. I usually don't have problems when mounting a CD or DVD in Daemon Tools. I haven't had to use cracks for a long time now. But there may always be the rogue example, where you will at least need the crack to get the game past the check point.
Whether or not you possess the CD or not, if you have data installed on your hard disk, and a no-cd crack, you can usually play without the CD just fine.

I didn't know that other countries accept cracked stuff.
Well, as Neco said, by just mounting the CD isn't enough. You need a crack/patch tool which is a small .exe application to make a pirated game work, but security measures have been improved by implementing Securom, which makes crack/patching tools useless, AFAIK.

Some countries don't have a law against it (copyright)...yes,but some cracking groups only release the crack to prove it can be done.
It's your choice if use that crack or no.That's a way of bending the law. :p
It's a diference between releasing a crack and a full DVD with crack included.
I sometimes hate to just insert the game DVD all the time and a no cd crack is more than useful.

Actually, that's not what I said. I said that I haven't had problems simply mounting images lately, for lots of different games.
Also, no-cd cracks, etc, are capable of completely bypassing all but the newest methods put into practice day by day. And eventually those are even cracked. Starforce protection can be cracked, but it is such a pain to do it, that most people don't find it worth the time to get the game running.
Daemon tools can emulate protection schemes such as Securom, Safedisc, Laserlok, etc.. This is why you might not always need a no-cd crack. Because the image is either a perfect dump and wouldn't need one anyway (very rare), or the image does fine when used with a mounting program that emulates the copy protection scheme used by the CD/DVD in question.
If you have the proper drives to do it, you can even make a physical 1:1 copy from an original you own. I did this with my brothers Age of Empires II: Conquerors expansion, since I already had AoE II, but not the expansion. This kind of success is also rare however.

Unless you purchased the game you downloaded which can be found from FileFront. If you're not, you can't play the game fully as some of the options are locked and can be solved only if you purchase the game online. Games are legal, though.
