Does Project 64 support a USB controller? I got a controller for my 45th birthday, just to use on P64, and can't get it to work. Maybe I should have looked into this beFORE I asked for the controller? :o I've perused this site and have found nothing about this. I hope someone can help me.

Any controller recongnizable by Windows works. Please, tell us what controller plugin are you using?

Try using the N-Rage Controller Plug-in
Avalible on this page (http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/n64plugins.html)

Thank you for your replies. I'm really not good at all this computer stuff. The controller I installed is called the Recractable PC game controller made by Game Elements by Gemini. I've been wondering if I was supposed to get a Nintendo controller, but this is supposed to be compatible with my PC and any game that will support a controller.
Now, this plug in you were talking about... is this something I download from the emulator site so my emulator will take a controller? I know I sound so stupid, but I really am. :msn_confu :o

Project64 comes with like 2 or 3 controller plugins. The one I recommend is N-Rage's Input Plugin and map the keys with the controller.

:o :o :o :biglaugh: I am feeling SO stupid! I thought you were asking me what type of controller I had. I guess it's obvious I had no plug in. The older we get the slower we learn. Okay... I went in and downloaded the plug and tried to set it up, but I can't get it to work still. I need to go look into the help manual or something, so I can't quit bothering you, now that you've set me straight on what I needed. I hope I am savvy enough to get this to work. Thank you for your advice and patience :)
