need help with Killer Instinct emulation

ok, so i have found the roms and the missing .chd files. I tried running this game with Mameox128PLUS and it says it needs the chd file to work. Even though, i copied it into the rom folder with the rom. I am talking about emulation on the Xbox, so please do not respond with any PC emulation material. I am not interested in PC emulation at all. My question is can i use a program like WINRAR and simply put the chd file with the rom and make it work like that? Or is there more to this?

The CHD should be placed on a sub folder with the ROM name ("kinst" folder for example), on some of the rompaths or MAME "Roms" folder
