sound trouble

When i close out of epsxe to do something else the background music of the game i was playing continues to play. Is there a way to make it stop?

The game you're playing is using CD Audio tracks as musics, so that's why it continues playing it although you quit the emulator. Pause/stop the CD/DVD-ROM drive reading if possible, via software (Winamp, Windows Media Player, MPC) or hardware (open/close button)

Or try using TweakUI and disable CD Autorun mode. :cool:
