This is prob a real noobish question

But ive tried to download both these MAME emulators & they do down load they just dont open why is this?

Im not really a PC kinda guy so please dont to techie on me as i wont know what your sayin & will no doubt produce a pointless thread:o

A .7z file or .rar ?

Use WinRAR or 7-Zip to unpack the file and run the .exe.

all i do is find the file open it then i get a lod more tiny icons & when i open any of them i just get a few lines saying well not much really wierd

Download Mame32 or Mame32 Plus! If you haven't already.
Maybe you got the command-line Mame and cannot run it.
