is there any way i can go about the game wothout haveing ot deal with all teh floors being black othe rthen that i dont see any other gliches. capt maybe when i press start it take a long time to go into the menue. comp specs: 512 ram, 2.5 GHz Celeron, NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000

Use the latest Project64 (v1.6) which has the pause delay fix. You can also use the cheats (CTRL + C) and enable the pause delay fix on earlier versions (v1.5), but I suggest you to use the latest one. Also, v1.6 includes the Jabo's Direct3D version 8 that has many graphic fixes.
