Why is Worth to be PC Gamer in 2006?

Besides console ports and some racing games (GTR2) I don't see anything good.
Then again I'm mostly a console player.
PC is for emulators and only top titles like Doom III,HL2 and Warcraft III.
The only future PC title that I'm REALLY interested in is S.T.A.L.K.E.R if that ever comes out.
