what is the best translation for this game I got the one from http://www.zophar.net/newtrans/?op=show&type=snes

but it is dated October 17th, 1998 - Version 1.10

is this one the best one out i really like this game thanks :)

also when i use this patch from there it makes my rom checksun bad :(

Romhacking.net (http://romhacking.deadbeat-inc.com/) is the best site around to check for all English translations. As you can see here (http://romhacking.deadbeat-inc.com/?page=translations&transpage=353), it's the only one available.

There were a couple of retranslation projects/enhacements of RPGe translation, which was a bit buggy, but both project are dead (http://www.skyrender.net/srt.html) or mssing. Anyway, you can get the latest versions I could find here (http://personales.ya.com/shohoku/ff5patch.zip) and there (http://personales.ya.com/shohoku/ff5enhance.zip)
