Ive used the search tool, and can not find an answer to this problem :p!

Ok! So, say i want to "backup" my DreamCast games. But the game i want to "backup" is about 780mb. Just wondering if there is another way to burn these. Like compressing them, or bigger CDs or something. (are there bigger CDs?!)

Help will be GREATLY appreciated :D

Compressed images of Dreamcast games can be really small in size.Use WinRAR.
There are bigger CD's 800MB.You could make the image and just put it in one DVD alongside other images.

Sorry I though you want to use them on an emulator.Sega DC doesn't play DVD's.

well, just wondering. There is not a way to shrink or compress the image files so they still run on the dreamcast, is there?

Check your PM...I don't know if it's OK to post that link on the forum.
(No rom .iso link...a backup FAQ only)

You won't need 800Mb media most of the times. The size any 2352 bytes sectors (BIN, IMG, etc) image is larger than its source (GD-ROM media in this case) of after burnt/mount it.

The real problem is to dump the image from the real GD-ROM. Check this thread for more info
