Am I right in thinking that if I download a PS2 emulator I can play PS2 games on my PC. Never dealt with emulators before so i'm a bit of a noob but have been told I can do this.

These systems are not emulated at a tolerable rate:


Nintendo GameCube (GCN).
Nintendo Dual Screen (NDS).
Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2).
Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP).
Microsoft Xbox.

They all give you slow FPS (Under 10 FPS) and/or won't run commercial games yet.

Dont forget the xbox360. garantee some one asks for a 360 emulator before the end of the year.

I don't know how to launch games in my eX360e emulator.
Which plugins are you using guys ? Are there any other XBOX360 emus ?

I've got PGR3 and it won't start and I have a pretty fast CPU.

other systems do work though.

nes, gameboy, gameboy color, atari 2600, atari 5200, atari 7200, virtual boy,gba,n64, playstation, sega genesis, sega master system, neo geo, most arcade games,super nintendo, and nearly all other consoles ranging in that timeline, do emulate either perfectly or at least quite well. (64 and playstation have troubles still.)

but yeah that is the meaning of emulator. it emulates a console and you can play it on your pc.

just dont ask for games here. its illegal. try google for those.

What about the sega saturn. Do any games work any saturn emulators. i heard it is a tough system to emulate.

Yes, they do. Not all and not all perfect, but it is still improving.

I wish noobs would stop naming their threads stuff like "I am thick, please help me" or "I am sooo dumb, I need help" or "I am just a noob, please forgive". They don't need to beat themselves up for being noobs.

Ah well, there is no news about Atari Jaguar's emulation though. :(

Atari Jaguar emulation is already pretty good and the emulators are still being worked on :)
