That depends on your computer's specs. What emulator are you trying to run?

For me (P4 2.4Ghz, 512MB RAM, so not very new) 80% of the games on emus run 100%, so there are enough fast emulators out there.

P4 2.4, 1024MB RAM DDR here. Runs every game at 100%, except the ones with known issues.
