Power Drift with PSX Controller on Mame

I can't get it to work. The controller is calibrated but i don't know how to setup the buttons and analog stick to MAME. Can anyone help me out?

Run that game in MAME, press [tab], remap the analog X axes with the PSX pad analog stick X axes (move it horizontally). For the pedal or analog buttons, use any digital key of you PSX pad on the "decrease" value, and left the other value unmapped.

How do i leave the keys unmapped?
I can't really keep these settings apart:

P1 Pedal 1 Analog
P1 Pedal 1 Dec
P1 Pedal 1 Inc

P1 Pedal 2 Analog
P1 Pedal 2 Dec
P1 Pedal 2 Inc

P1 Paddle 1 Analog
P1 Paddle 1 Dec
P1 Paddle 1 Inc

Which is which? Which is the gas? The brake and the steering wheel?

Pedal 1 is gas, 2 brake and paddle is the steering wheel. Map any button to each "Pedal dec(rease)" and set "Pedal Analog" to "N/A" or "none" (press [Esc]). Paddle 1 dec: analog stick left direction. Paddle 1 inc: analog stick right
