I tried Project64 first with Mario Kart64. Almost all of the graphics are missing, there's no backgrounds and when the game starts the karts are invisible and all I can see is the shadow and smoke from each one. That was with the 1.6 plugin, I switched to 1.52 (or whatever the older one is) and my PC locks up and reboots.

I then switched to 1964 and everything works much better, except in two player mode the split screen is really messed up... it's like each half of the screen is overlapped onto each other.

Is it something with Mario Kart or do I have something set wrong? I'd like to use P64 if I can get the graphics straightened out. My PC is a P4 3.4Ghz with 1GB DDR2 and a Nvidia 7800GT.

same here. it is possible you may have a bad dump too. but i've never heard of anyone having a problem with it.

(everything works pefectly on mine except for the arena tv screen on the luigi race track.)

I don't have any probs...could be that you have to config the video plugin a little more.Same for your arena tv Genome.

(its in the graphix option. haggy taught me how to get it to work back in the day. the only problem is that it eats up your fps. you get like 5-10 with it on. hardly worth it. hopefully the new version of pj64 fixes that.)

It's kinda unnecessary, but it's really necessary in Pokémon Snap to see the pictures you took.
