Okay so im dumb

i've tried to figure out mame on my own but from what i can tell its about as complex as using a ps1 emulator (maby more) so i was wondering what the steps from the very begining i need to take are. (ex. Download emu, driver, which drivers,what are the drivers for, download anything else i may need)

obviously i dont need details on getting roms. i can handle that part on my own :p
