Anyone having trouble setting up their gamepad with Doom 3?

Anyone having trouble setting up their gamepad with Doom 3? Doom won't respond to my controller when I try to set the buttons. Its like it doesn't even detect it. Is anyone else having similer problems? I'm using a Game elements controller. Thanks.

I'm sorry, but I wouldn't recommend playing Doom3 with a gamepad. Just go for the keyboard/mouse combination. If you are not used to that, just try it. It will take some time, but you will never want something else anymore :)
