"regi patrique fidelis" it think it irish any one know of an online translator to change it to english? i was hoping to get it on a tattoo but need to know what it means first :confused:

it's latin.. and it's not from the boondock saints.

it basically means something like "to be ruled fatherland faithful" according to an online translator.

this is a really tough translation
regi = dative case of rex, meaning king
patri = dative case of pater, meaning father (possibly fatherland too, but i doubt it although it makes more sense) and the -que at the end of it just means "and"
fidelis = faithful

since most of the words are dative, its a tough phrase. my best guess would be something along the lines of faithful to father[land] and king

or you could say (assuming you are going along the boondock saints thought i had earlier.) king, father, and faithful. in a religious subtext which obviously means god, (their)father, and all who are faithful to god. or even king( of country) father (god) and faithfull (to both.)

all of 'em fit i guess.;) i just wouldnt get a tat though. they are permanet and stuff.
