Whats the best free or bootlegable video conversion software?

To WMV: Windows Movie Maker.
To MPEG: TMPEGenc.
To AVI (DivX): VirtualDub.

You can use the PSP profile in Nero Recode to convert the videos.

one method is to use dvdshrink 3.2 (that encodes teh .vob files so they can be viewed normally on a pc.)then you can use divx (pro?) to compress them. i assume you can do that with any movie and put them on a umd and watch them on your psp.

I think XviD is way better than DivX.
