Hi. I don't know much about pc's. enough to get me by. I'd like to update the driver for my soundcard but I'm not sure where to find it. I'm not completely brain dead tho. I googled it and everything and The I can't find my specific card.
It's a C-Media Wave Device. It came with the PC. I run DSDIAG in the run menu and that's what it says the name of my soundcard is. It's just stock, I don't know.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

Perhaps you can try Driverguide (http://www.driverguide.com). It says you should register, but IIRC the username is 'drivers' and the pass 'all'. It is the same for everyone :o

My card is the AC97 that site doesn't have it. Anybody have a direct link. Google just gives me sites that go to the same site which is just full of links to free ipods and porn. THE INTERNET IS PATHETIC!! How can these people take themselves seriously.
C-media ac97 audio device is the card. And I can't find it without signing up for stupid crap. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

Isn't the same as CM AC97 audio codec? I think it would be easier to first know your motherboard brand and model, then download the required drivers on its site. PC Wizard might (http://www.cpuid.com/) help you

AC97 is one of the most common on-board soundcards there is.
There's a few variations though, I got mine from the HP site (as my computer is a Compaq). The other versions are really easy to find with Google.
