FCE Ultra Question

Could someone please tell me how to save games on FCE Ultra. When I'm playing a game a go to save state as, and I name the file. But when I try to load state from, it doesn't work. Any help would be great.

This has been asked before. Check this thread (http://forums.emulator-zone.com/showthread.php?t=5073&highlight=save+states). You need to use the .fc extension while saving the state, or rename it later. The problem is that "Load State from" dialog filters the files to only show .fc* extension
