Well, details are not out there yet, it just have been announced and it will be released in 2007. As far as I know it will be directed and written by Paul W.S. Anderson, the same guy who directed Resident Evil in 2002 and the movie will focus on the origin of the Belmont family and Dracula's confrontation.

I don't know if Konami will take part in the development of this movie and if it's going to be a cartoon or a movie with actors.

If you can get more of this movie, feel free to post :)

try and watch bumping old threads acid.

but i do agree with ticktock. did anyone see double dragon? it left a bad taste in my mouth. however by comparission it was oscar material standing next to super mario bros.

maby if it is animated (not 3d rendered i mean actual anime style animation!) it will be good.

Are you talking the original D or the more recent one?

-=VampyR=-
February 20th, 2006, 18:57
There's two of them ?
I have one that lasts about 2 hours. What's the difference between them ?

One kinda old (1985) and terrible
One's kinda new and only semi-terrible.

If an anime was made in the 80's you can tell...

Then I think it's the new one.(very good quality)
And it's not terrible it's great,I loved it.

I liked the Japanese version better (of the new one)... I say terrible aimed more at the English dub... :p

It's original, I just think D lacks good character and story development.

It was cool anyway.

Vampire Hunter D is a good movie. Actually, both of them are good.

But as far as Castelvania goes, I won't be looking forward to it. So far, most video games turned movies haven't been good at all. The only one that I've even been some what satisfied with is Resident Evil and subsequently, Resident Evil Apocalypse.

Doom was disappointing. It didn't seem like it followed the game story line. I didn't like the first person shooter sequence because you couldn't always figure out what was going on, and I didn't like the Rock being the villain.

Also, Alone in the Dark owes me two hours of my life back. That movie sucked so bad...

Resident Evil 1 and 2 (movies) sucked ass so bad,I think I deleted most of the images I had in my head ( ? ) of those 2.
Complete failures if you ask me.
Alone in the Dark was even worse tha RE.Uwe Boll should die...

The only good thing of Res movies was the soundtrack...with Akiko_the_Elf's fav band Slipknot.

I concur. Uwe Boll should die. He should die a horrible death. Something even worse than his steaming piles commonly reffered to as movies.

How did you know I loved Slipknot? My sig? Perhaps? ;)

And you can call me Akiko. :D

ahem cloud i think you owe thunder cats an apologie. on of my fav anime. i wub it.

but yeah they all have sucked. resident evil 1/2,mortal kombat 2. (1 wasnt great, wasnt terrible) i hear bloodrayn was 50 on the movie chart. doesnt matter cause i didnt watch it anyway. dont get me started on mario, ffvii advent children was the worse movie i saw last year. it is worse than all the movies i named above it:fuckyou:

spirits within imho was good. because it wasnt based on a particular game. thats what made ppl hate it. but i personally thought it was okay since it was its own thing.

I know all thrash/metal/dark-metal/black-metal/gothic-metal that rock HARD.
Plus you said it many times.

And you can call me Akiko.
OK...Akiko.Call me VampyR or Vamp if you like.

Back to horror movies: Silent Hill I think, will kick every game-based movie ass.

I don't know about Silent Hill.

All the other game-based movies really sucked. I don't trust it and I'm not going to get my hopes up about this one.

No Genome, I love Thunder Cats too. It's the most halarious 80's cartoon based on a group of gay, body building man-cats I've ever seen. Second only to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. :my_rambo:
