Newbie ?---Can I use a joystick 2 play NES ROMs?

I just DLed a whole bunch of ROMs n the FCE Ultra emulator...I'd like 2 know if I can use a joystick 2 play the games...n e recommendations? Peace. ;)

Since the NES only has two action buttons (and start and select), almost any joystick will do.

I bought a cheap Logitech game pad...its like the PS1 controller w/o the analogs...n I m usin VirtuaNES now...but I still can not seem 2 have the NES emulator recognize the game pad...I have a Genesis emulator n evrything worked perfectly but the Nintendo emulators r givin me a hard time (I also tried 2 configure my game pad on FCE Ultra with no luck)...help...pleez...I just wanna play some Bionic Commando n peace...:msn_pisse
