MU Online

Has anyone played mu online?I heard it's quite good (and free more importantly) but it's 67 mbytes so I'd like a second opinion before I start downloading it.

67mb are sth if you have a 56k connection and the server is in England(I think).
I've been downloading for 5 hours and I'm still at 17%.

Just recently I was getting 250kb/sec.......there was probably something messed up with the internet company cuz some of my buds were getting the same thing B)

At least I get 67mb in less than 8 hours at full speed.

When it comes to broadband however I live in a third world country(price/performance comparison with other countries).

I use 56K and my internet has a 5-6K of speed. I agree with Lefteris_D, 67MB should take about 6hours.

Although I have an ASDL connection in my office, i prefer using the net to download things at home.

I have cable, but also use Download Accelerator Plus, an AWESOME program that seriously speeds up ALL my downloads by up to 500%&#33; So I download at like 500-600kbps with it.

And BTW, on this page (http://www.muonline.com/s03/s01.asp), what do I have to download? Just the "MU Full Version", or also the patch and other stuff there?

I use DAP as well only for Mozilla. Be careful, getting banned from some sites thanks to DAP is very easy. Set it to one connection per server and you will be fine.

Meh the game is crapper than ranarok, which is pretty dismal with the simple one button hack and slash...fun. <_<

I didn&#39;t need to now about this game, i might get addicted by looking at the site =/... I&#39;ve got enough net games to worry about. I might get it when i get tired with uRO, Gunbound and CS

Just avoid the game like hell.Someone hacked the server a few days ago and has published the passwords of the majority of the players.

It is true,I&#39;ve seen this list myself at their site.Someone published it and they didn&#39;t even care at least to remove it from their own site.
You could still have a problem if you used the same username and password elsewhere.And do you know the best part yet?They don&#39;t let you change your password anymore, so if that&#39;s somebody&#39;s case he&#39;s screwed big time.That&#39;s why I almost never use the same password in different places.

which server were you playing? there's thousands of them out there. it seems that you got on one that wasn't protected well. if you know the right ones to go to, you can find some great servers. i'm an admin to a large mu online forum and can tell you anything you want to know.

MU ONLINE SUX u can't zoom out when u play it sux u cant see nothing around u or nothing hardly unless sum1 knows how u can zoom out i would play but FOR NOW IT SUX!!!!!!! rather play Conquer Online than that right atm whoever wants
