I've downloaded ZiNc v1.1 from EZ and since I don't know how to use the command lines,I also got DaFreak's ZiNcGUI v1.9.5,and Aldo's ZiNc Frontend v2.03.
The problem is as it follows: I get a missing file error in both frontends when trying to play Street Fighter EX 2.What can I do? The error is BOIS: coh-3002c. 353 NOT FOUND

Is it a bad rom,or I'll have to edit the romdata ?? (dafreak's ZiNcGUI recreated the .dat files)
Please help! I really don't know how to use this emu. :o

If it's something similar to editing in Kawaks or Nebula then it's easy for me.:D

You need to get the cpzn2 bios

You need to get the cpzn2 bios

Thank you VERY MUCH,Robert.
Do I need other bios files to put in the emu (so I don't have to be surprised when, maybe, another game doesn't work),and what are they called?

Can the ZiNc emulator use other video plugins than the D3D Glide and OpenGL available on Emulator Zone? I mean, like ePSXe which I use with the PEOpS Soft driver?

Sorry for asking stupid questions...I saw that the bioses each game needs is listed right before my eyes on EZ.As for the video plugins I think that there aren't any,I checked the ZiNc site.
Sorry for the double post...there is no edit button.

Place the BIOS zip files on the same folder than your ROMs.

About the plugins, there're D3D, OGL and also the Peops soft GPU. Get them here (http://emulator-zone.com/doc.php/arcade/zinc.html) and there (http://www.pbernert.com/html/gpu.htm#SOFTWIN). To use one, just rename it it to renderer.znc .

Thanks for the info on the plug-ins,hagbard.
The BIOS files were placed where they belong,I also had the Peops soft GPU,but renaming it to renderer.znc (actuallly I renamed it to d3d_renderer.znc), didn't even cross my mind...

THANKS,hagbard again....BTW in what language is your signature ? (polish, bulgarian or czech perhaps?)....just curious

novyy den' - new year?

No problem, good to see it's working

About my sig, it's supposed to be russian, I mean just borrowed the text. "novvy den" it's translated here as "new day" so I bet you know much more than me about eastern European languages. Hint: This lyrics are from the opening theme of a well known anime series. ;)

You're right... the edit button has gone missing !! Very strange.
Even though down the bottom of the page it says I can edit my posts.

Anyway it's good you've got zinc working, as you've probably guessed,
I'm not around every day, but Hagbard is.

I simply can't set the key config on Raystorm. It works only if set to HotRod,but I can't play with those settings...I mean if I reconfigure the keys I'm only able to move the ship, cannot fire, bomb anything.I'm using Winterblast plugin.
If someone knows a way to fix this please help.

Did you try to manually edit the controller.cfg file? The name and the location might change from one frontend to other though: Aldo's place them on a "cfg" subfolder renamed like "37 G-Darius (JP 2.01J)_controller.cfg".

I tried to edit manually the .cfg file but it wouldn't work.I've set,for example Button 1 to kbY since I wanted to use "Y".Is that the corect way to do it?
I'll post some pics for you to see (not edited),and please guide me if I'm wrong.
If I set the config from the menu to HotRod it works but with predefined keys that I simply cannot play with.I tried changing them but it doesn't work.

http://img493.imageshack.us/img493/2513/winterblastcfg6km.th.jpg (http://img493.imageshack.us/my.php?image=winterblastcfg6km.jpg)

I use EDSF as UpDownLeftRight and YUHJ as Button 1,2,3,4.I can move the ship in Raystorm but buttons 1,2 or 3 don't work.

Hmm... Perhaps it's possible to copy - paste the key config from one you know it's working. I'm not sure about this keys are correct though

I've got SF EX2 and Soul Edge working perfect with the keys, although Soul Edge has very slow framerates, and Raystorm and G-Darius where I can't make the trigger buttons work.
I can't copy/paste the configs because they are exactly the same, there's no reason.
I'll tell you what I've done:First DL the zinc emu v1.1,then copied the contents of the zip in a folder, after that DL aldo's FE,copied that too,and it said Overwrite? and checked YES overwriting the controller.cfg, and controller.znc with the ones in the aldo's FE.
Also I have downloaded the ZiNc GUI.
I will try some other combinations but if I'm doing something wrong please help!

I can only suggest to use other input plugin (controller.znc)

I tried using Zinc Direct Input Plugin v0.5 (http://www.planetemu.net/index.php?section=utilitaires&machine=30&type=Plugins%20Controles),but the emulator crashes.I'll try finding other input plugins though.
Thanks for being of help,hagbard.

do you have to unzip the bios files first or not?

No, you can leave them zipped.
