What cartridge are you using?
Im using EZF Advance (Realtime 256mb) and ezfa client 1.0.3 Its basically select the rom you want to put on the card and hit write.

It is really very easy!
I use Flash 2 Advance and the program was on the CD that was on the same package with the card.

I have not cartridge. I am totally new to this. I've found somewhere to download the games, but they need to be played on a GBA, so I need to xfer to a cartridge. Are there any websites that offer this service, or do I need to buy some kit

http://www.gameboy-advance.net/ has lots of info on gba flash cards. Flash card are just like normal gba games but you can transfer gba roms and other homebrew apps to it and play them on a real GBA.
