After I enter a fake American ZIP code, it then takes me to a page to give me a quote for broadband. There it has a speed test link, which takes me back to where I came from.

That's weird, I just entered a fake one: 67008 and it let me do the test.

I entered a California ZIP. They probably thought "He's from California, I bet we can sell him stuff!".

I used CA1 because I had no idea what an American ZIP code should look like. Usually some state (two letters) followed by a number works when I need it for forms. I base it on English postcodes, which are for example: IP2 8LG (2 letter town, number, space, number, random 2 letters).

I'm sure you're all fascinated by this. I'll go find my beanie hat.

I took this during peak time, when I tend to connect at my slowest.

Indeed when this was done, I was connected (according to the computer) at 18K or something. However at night time I have been known to creep up to around 28K

you guys have wacky postcodes

we just have numbers too

i asked because i always used 90210 on any form where they ask for my zip. only postcode i know :rolleyes:
