will .img .sub or .ccd files work with epsxe?

Yes, but not directly. You'll need an image mounter like Daemon Tools (http://www2.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/announcements.php). All you need to do is load the .img, .sub or .ccd files with it and Windows will recognize it as a CD-ROM, so you can play them with ePSXe.
