I was just wondering if there is an emulator for the Nintendo 64 that allows you to play multi player over the internet. I have done it with other systems like the snes, but I can't seem to find a emulator for the N64 that has that feature. Any advice appreciated!

no all you need is project 64. i've personally never tried to play over the net. im assuming its just like every other emulator online though (sux). it does work great over lan though. (which is odd if it works on lan it should work online too). myself and a couple of my friends had a mario cart lan party:D

I did get it to work in the end but it was kinda crap. No one was playing the old clasics like mario kart and goldeneye. Plus a lot of the people on there are japanese. I would love to find some people that play Goldeneye over the net, I loved that game I used to kick ass.

Now that you mention it I was trying to play with my brother and it crashed for both of us. I have no idea what's the problem with it.

I don't really know. It stopped working since I switched my video card.

I don't think that's the problem. It crashed for me when kaillera.com was up.

A video card drivers problem, perhaps?

I think so. First when I start it I get a HAL device error, then I change it to Rice video's, but when I try to play online, it crashes.

I've not had problems getting the net part to work. Can find loads of servers.. even quite a few with people on them. I've set up my own LAN server too.. works like a charm. Apart from the fact, that we seem to desync a lot. Kinda annoying.

if you want to play with ppl you know (or at least some who speaka the english) then maby you should try to start a clan on this site. maby other emu sites would also form clans. you guys could start a tourney and everything. i would do it but i dont have a drop of free time.

Goldeneye? I tried that over net with someone else with both Project 64 and 1964, It doesn't work. The screen with Project 64k starts out ok... then lags, when you start playing it flashes, you have to force Z depth buffering and then it lags and sometimes de-syncs. Also what are your system specs, it would help for both to be on a fast internet connection and have very fast computers Or better yet be on LAN, and hope for the best, lol. Goldeneye multiplayer games are not hosted on kallera because people dont want to play it because it mostly doesn't work, unless you like your multi-player going at 25FPS when the smooth speed is 55-60FPS. Even SSB goes slow and de-syncs going about 40FPS usually when you play. N64 Net play is possible for some games, But it lags really badly if you dont have a good system and a fast internet connection. I haven't tried mario kart. Japanese people? Maybe, but I didn't really see them,Maybe if I went to a server within asia or something, the higher the ping, the worse the games will lag, and otherwise, they lag pretty badly including annoying de-syncs.
