Well, I was reading somewhere else that you can use the controller as an aiming gun for FPS games. For more related info, look here. (http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&q=%22revolution+controller%22&btnG=Search+News)

Jale

I don't know if it will be compatible with Gamecube controllers, but the rumour says it will.

The black one. That PS3 boomerang seems uncomfortable. If it's compatible, I'll plug a PS1 or PS2 controller instead.

Perhaps nintendo or a third party will release a sensible controller for the revolution. Maybe someone else will do the same for the Sony Boomerang.

How the heck I am goin' to play with those?

Zach

Well if you turn it sideways it can be like an old skool NES controller...sort of..

Shit, Atari had a stick and a button, what are we complaining about

The Revolution controller looks rediculous, I don't want to buy the system just by looking at the controller, good job nintendo, you freaking idiots. Who wants to adapt to a new way of holding and playing a controller? Also, i have never seen an Atari in my life, so I have high standards.

Zach
September 18th, 2005, 03:47
Well you claim you don't want to buy a system just by looking at the controller, and then go on to blame Nintendo for the controller and turning you off anyway..

So which is it ?

The fact of the matter here is that until we see how the controller is used in games, and have a chance to see other people playing the system, all this bitching may turn out to have been for nothing.

Innovations come about because people don't listen when people tell them their ideas are shit. Granted it could be legitimately shit, we still do not know at this point in time how well the controller really functions.

Hell, if I had a nickel for every time I've heard that my magazine was pointless, or that no one would really have any interest in it, I'd be pretty damn rich myself. Just because people don't care about something, or perceive something as useless, doesn't necesarrily make it so.

now you have
do your self a favor and download the emulator and get Empire Strikes Back
then understand the words "old skool"

well the revo's controller is better than the xbox 360's at the least, nintendo have always made the best controllers ever except the n64 analog stick witch after time became saggy and white powder came from within witch was weird. They wouldent make this controller if its not going to work its gonna work great plus for old style play u can put the revo control in a controller shell for normal play.

and sony will diffently change there vibrating doubble ended lesbian didlo controller b4 ps3 release

You have to move your arm to make it move around? You know how unaccurate that. That takes away every chance of me ever buying the system.

ticktock
September 30th, 2005, 17:37
you never played duck hunt or timespliters, or area 51? the arm movement puts you in the game and help develop cordination i might add, try playing tetris with this, countless possibilities that no other system can match, i'd like to finaly get percision aiming in FPSs instead of an unsteady joystick

u are so wrong its way more accurate since when has analog sticks been accurate? the revo controller will be as accurate as a mouse and limited movment is required to move around the screen.Way more accurate than any analog sticks witch happens to be all over the place compared.

I think the controller is great! Not to mention I would love to play some kind of sword/lightsaber game like starwars with it! I'ts like half a virtual reality set, I can't wait to get my hands on one! =3

I'm used to pressing buttons, hardly moving my arms, i just find it a pain and more complicated to move around your arm and press the button.
