i have an original ps one controller i modified to work on my computers parralel port. it used to work great but i just recently had to reformat my computer and tried to install the ntpad drivers but it wont center. i calibrate it but the point is rapidly going from center to upper left.

ive noticed that when i disconnect the controller it center goes to upper left and sits. im thinking the pad is turning on/off rapidly causing the center to rapidly go back in forth in that area. so could my pad just have finally crapped out?

im using

windows xp pro with updates

nvidia gfx card

onboard sound

any help?

Are you using Windows XP with with SP2? I'm sorry it won't work afaik. You might try PSXPAD drivers, although I don't like it

If that's not the case, try disabling Force Feedback on the NTPAD config window.

yea i have sp 2 and tried disableling the force feedback thing.

i couldnt get psxpad to work it says could not find open psxenum.

so is the ntpad still being worked on so that this may be fixed in the future or am i just screwed?

thanks for your help.

edit* whats afaik mean? (sorry ive never seen that)

I'm sorry NTPAD is currently discontinued, and PSXPAD doesn't work good to me, and looks the same to you. Finally I had to buy a USB adaptor
