Yeah, I have tried everything, but still when I save it either says the previous save file was loaded or my game was erased!!! Nothing is working. I have Visual Gameboy Advance 1.8.0 Beta! Please help me or I won't make it to the Battle Frontier! I have changed my save settings over and over and still nothing has worked! Please help me somebody! :( I am also using the VBA Link with the Visual Gameboy Advance 1.8.0 Beta.

Try using save states?

Save States? They are in the file menu right. Numbered from 1 to ten? But when i beat the pokemon league it has to save in the game and that's when the problem happens!

Ok so the problem is you're beating the game and you're saving it after and you're trying to play the same game but the save file screws up?

try deleting your current save, BUT NOT YOUR SAVE SLOT STATES (in case this doesnt work) then continue on, somthing like this happened to me a while back but i forgot which game did it
EDIT Wait dont delet it back it up first then delet it

I am not saving it at the end with save states. I save it with save states right before the game saves itself. You know like it says saving and then it says do not turn off game or something like that.

VBA 1.8.0 doesn't work for Pokemon Emerald. Try 1.7.2 or vbalink. Ensure flash size is 128K

There're patches for this btw, but what ranit8 said is usually the best way

are you using the patched version of the game, if not, patch it. but you may have to start the game again. but it should save that way. Also try different save types
