Hey, is there a version of Kawaks which suppors kof10thu (King of Fighters 10th Anniversary Unique)?
Robert

no; you might be able to get one of the loaders to work but you need some technical knowledge. I don't know.

I used a rom data manager to add kof10thu to the add.dat. Now all I need is a loader to make it work.
What is a loader? What extension does it use (.dat)?
And where does it go?

add.dat? don't you mean asr.dat?
A loader is a exe file that starts kawaks in a different way.
The only kawaks versions that have a loader are quite old, versions 1.45 and 1.46

add.dat with a loader <---- Earliest.
asr.dar with a loader <---- Current by different coder/programmer.
Officially, Kawaks doesn't have included that game yet but a hacked version does. I got a hacked version of it to make it work.
Loader is pretty similar with Nebula Loader in which lets you play a game that is not currently listed in the Game list. So, Kawaks loader basically came from the very same idea that on Nebula loader in which Nebula uses *.dat and romdata infos.
Sorry, asking for a loader is not allowed here in this forum.

No problem. I found Kawaks 1.46 + loader but I cannot get King of Fighters 10th Anniversary Unique to work with it.
I have everything set up in the asr.dat and it loads every file like it's supposed to but I keep getting this screen:

I just picked a number for the cartridge ID. Does it matter what number I use for the cartridge ID?
Is this game not working because I'm not using the decrypted set?

This is what I managed to find out from the original that worked on 'modified' Kawaks. (without the loader.)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v332/montpics/01.jpg
But if you want to make the data, perhaps you need to combine the Cs' files into 8, not 16 files, to try it out. As I never seen any data which have 16.

Note : Still don't work on Nebula with it but there is a patch on p1 that SHOULD work.

I don't suppose you'd be willing to send me that 5004-s1.bin?
And how do you combine files?
montpics
September 12th, 2005, 13:51
Try using Winsplit. :)
For mine, I mostly tried on DOS command.
Note : Eventually I just noticed KOF 10th Anniversary and KOF 10th Anniversary Unique are both different a bit even though I personally don't have that 'Unique' ROM. Images shown are KOF 10th Anniversary only. So, I personally not sure whether you still want to have Unique instead.

Ok. I've merged all of the a and b files into eight c's.
And the CRC's match those that you have posted.
All of my CRC's match yours EXCEPT the s1.bin. My CRC is 7612E182.
You know what. I wish someone could make a program that will LET you change the CRC's right there without the hassle. Just pick the file whose CRC you want to change and type in the CRC right there and that's that.
Why must they make it so hard.

:) I did it!!! Thanks for your support!!! :)
I got a question.
I want to use Razoola's BIOs with it.
Am I supposed to add it to the asr.dat? If so where should I include the BIOS? Program, system, Z80, samples, graphics, or elsewhere?
Here's a pic:

*edit*
I got the BIOS working.

No problem, I guess to only mention the name, just as hacked emus, loaders, etc, its not a problem. I have named it some time ago and also the Utopia Boot Disc for example
The Universe Bios by Razoola

Hey, montpics, are you familiar with hacking codes for Kawaks?
I've already made codes for infinite power for P1 and P2 and infinite time. But, since this is 10th Anniversary Unique, every time a character taunts they shrink.
I fixed the shrinking by making a code to counter it for both P1 and P2, but.... now neither P1 or P2 is able to taunt at all. Now, I need a code to fix that...
Anyway, can you make music cheats for this game or tell me how to go about making it?
I've already tried asking on other forums but they are too busy filling in request for other people.

Well, not my expertise in hacking. :)
Music cheats? I don't understand what you mean......
One thing, if you want to hack them, possibly you can grab the software Hex-Editor, if I'm not mistaken and try it.

Yeah, I need music codes that will let me play any track during battle.
I don't know anything about Hex editing.

Oh, what the hell. Bump.
How am I supposed to use hex editor to find cheats for kawaks?

No. You can find cheats on this site (http://haggar.emuunlim.com/). Place the files (unziped) on the Kawaks Cheats subfolder.
PD: And please, use the edit button.

Thanks but those aren't the cheats I'm looking for.

It wasn't avaliable.
