Gamecube ROM file? Please help xD

I just downloaded Mario Kart: Double Dash for my GC emulator.. but .rom file doesn't work with it D: Is there any way I can make the .rom file to work? I use Dolphin. I can download the .iso version but it takes longer (is impatient) So if anyone can help I would really appreciate it =D

Did you try changing the extension from .rom to .iso? if it's actually an iso it should work

Ok I have an iso type of file and I opened dolphin and then the couble dash icon appeared in the menu thing so I pressed ply and it said Booting... so I waited a couple minutes and nothing happened. Then I waited a half hour and still nothing happened...it says its a gig in size and I only have 512 ram..maybe is that why it won't run? D:

This is not the problem. Perhaps it's a bad ripped image, so you might try to fix it with FSTFix 1.5f, but maybe it's just not compatible
