controllers for mame32

sup..i finally know how to get mame32 to work..but i was wondering how to adjust the controlers to work? also..i want to know what these are : snapshop/floyer/cabinat...are they certain settings?

If you download the .zip file for cabinets and extract it to the cabinets folder in
Mame32 it will show the cabinet of that arcade game to the right cabinet tab.
