Morning guys and gals. Well I'm new as you already know and recently discovered your very attractive looking site. I do have a problem that I really need help with.

I recently discovered the great Kawaks and Mame emulators to play the good ole arcade games. I went with Kawaks because it had pics of marvel VS street fighter all over it lol. Anyhow, Im use to the JNES and DGEN emulators and roms which are simple as click and play.

I know NOTHING really about these roms and config/bios files ect. I downloaded Kawaks and downloaded a bunch of Mame games from a site that I don't have noted or recall right now. Just some list of what I downloaded for games are (samuri showdown, king of fighters 98, THe simpsons arcard game, Die hard, Street fighter vs marvel, street fighter the movie, time splitters... well you get teh point. about 13 games all together.

Now I noticed that with this emulator you have a list of roms that are like shells for what it can play. I clicked on show only active and scanned. Course I didnt have games at time. so I took the roms and put them all in cps1 cause I have no idea what goes in what between the 3 folders. I scanned and only two games showed up. Street fighter vs marvel and I want to say dark stalkers. I was disappointed that I couldn't get into playing the listed games. They are also not showing in the list that the emulator has. does this mean they cannot be played through it? some like samuri show down ARE listed and still won't show up.

Please help a newbie out... lol I need help.

thanks for your assistance guys

Oh ya.. my names Garrett

You can do one of two things.
If the games don't apear that means you don't have the correct roms for the emulator or you don't have the neogeo bios fot it (neogeo.zip). The emulator your using as a limited propor list of roms.
If you have difficults on using the emulator try the mame32 that is very easy to use (you only have to put all the roms in the folder "roms" and them start the game)
The tab key on the game gives you access to the game configuration.

Ok, I downloaded teh Mame32 but its not like a program you can just open with menus. (like load game). so how do you use this particular program?

Hit F5, go to available games, then right click to edit game's config or double click/enter to play the game. The Mame32 help file it's also very usefull ;)
