Can anyone help me get the doom port running on my psp its doing my head in.

if you have the KXploit tool on your comp then it shouldn't be a hassle. just make sure you have the DOOM.WAD file and put it in the correct folder.
remember that DOOMPSP is the obligated file name if not then it won't work.

ok im not going to be able to help much cuz im in puerto rico as i speak.
first go to that site and search for the FIRST DOOMPSP reaslese. once you DL it you have to get the DOOM.WAD file.(this is needed so you can actually play the game.
once you have the WAD file and the EBOOT file(every single DOOM realese contain the EBOOT file) make the 2 file with the KXploit tool which you can DL here (http://files.pspupdates.com/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,38,469). just load the EBOOT file into to the KXploit tool and it'll generate the 2 file you need with the EBOOT's already inside them. once you have to two files all ready put the DOOM.WAD in the folder WITHOUT the % sign. once you've done all that then your DOOM game should work.
well i guess i was able to give a good amount of info.
