Metal Slug 4 & 5 Won't show on the List

I am using MAME32 0.81, and I have both the metal slug 4 & 5 roms in the roms folder, but they don't show up on the list that MAME has. What am I doing wrong? Mame only has Metal Slugs 1,2,3 & X on the list. How can I play 4 & 5?

Metal Slug 4 listed on MAME is an encryted one that is you need to get patches to get this listed on MAME.

However, Metal Slug 5 will not be listed in MAME as the game is very new (it was released on February 17, 2004.) So you had to wait for another year to see that game be listed.

Other method to play those games? Use NeoMAME32 Plus, or you can compile/edit you own for MAME, FBA Alpha, Nebula and Kawaks. :cool:

you should use Mame32k90 I have this emulator and MS 4 & 5 both work fine

Thanks for the help guys. I got rid of the normal MAME and am downloading the Mame32k90. Is the neoMame plus better? Does it only play neogeo games? anyway, thanks again, and do you know what the best version of mame thats out right now?

MAME 0.87 is the latest version of MAME. (Not all NeoGeo games are listed as I said above) :cool:
