These are called Real Time Strategy games, not Sims.. Again, big difference between what a Sim is and a game is..

My favorites right now are:

Rome: Total War
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War
and Rise of Nations

Just curious, but what about Rome don't you like? I got a little bored of it, but there's an amazing mod that improves a lot of aspects of it. It's called Rome: Total Realism.

Ones to look out for in the near future are Age of Empires 3 and Shattered Union
