For bin, you probably need to mount it using deamon tools.

ofcourse you need the original game thats why the expansion packs are called expansion pack

dude..... if it didn't need the original game then it wouldn't be called an expansion pack, now there are some cracks that might be able to "trick" the pack into thinking you have the original game, but if you did that you wouldn't get any of the things introduced in the original game.

lol I dled house party without the sims and I got a crack for it to work the only thing is, that the old items from the sims aren't there ahaha.
