if your using a newer version try using an older version like 1.7.

Could be or it could be the rom. Maybe for the European version and not the American version or vice versa. Rom patched or not. Or it could be for the ruby and sapphire or even the emulators cheat system doesnt work 100% yet.

yeah code could be from another version or something cuz the codes at gameshark.com work.

I know this might be a long shot. But if your running it off an emulator you can probally find a punch in code here. http://www.gamegenie.com/

I would have checked myself.. but I don't know what type of system you were using it for.
