visual boy help

I started playing pokemon fire red on visual boy advance and when you save it and exit out of visual boy then when you go back to it the saved file is not there.
Im I doing somthing wrong
can u save it a different way to the computer!!!!

Look for some patch (make a forum search, you should find a link), try with different Save Type configs (change the save settings, save in your game, quit the emu, and try to load again: repeat untill it works), or use the Save Sates & Autoload options
