I can't seem to run eDonkey on my network. I did correct all my proxy settings and network ports: TCP, UDP etc.
The search works, and I get connected to a server, but when i start a download, the status bar says:
"UDP Port not open". and below it, edonkey has a status of not connected.
What's wrong.

You always have to figure out things for yourself.
The problem with EDonkey is that it configures itself for every user on a network. If you are using a proxy server, than you are out of luck, especially if it is an HTTPS type.
You can use programs like desproxy to reroute your DNS as a socks4 or a socks5 type proxy. Even then if the server (proxy server) uses a microsoft compliant security Firewall, than leave Edonkey.
Same of the above explanation goes for Overnet, Kazaa, Bittorrent and other P2P networks. (IRC is an exception.)
I explained this because I saw many people asking this question around forums, and so did I.

Maybe the EDONKEY FORUMS or the OVERNET FORUMS would be more appropriate for this hmm?
