View Full Version : Hello

June 12th, 2005, 11:58
Hello just wanted to introduce myself, I am a newscaster for a nj college radio station, Like to do various things to my electronics, such as finding alternate usage for them. ex.{i took my dreamcast to HS one day to do a communications homework on it, using its video capabilites, i did a powerpoint for that class and left that class with an A}
My nokia 3650 has more bling than anyone else i know, being able to emulate sega 8bit and genesis. It also has afew other custom additons.

Finaly with $10 and a PSX controler I turn my laptop to the Ultimate Console. Have emulators/or can get (at my wanting) everything up to Dreamcast emulation running Full Speed or near and can control the games with that PSX controler.

If you need any help, (Please no Roms request and stuff like that) ill be happy to help.

You sound like me. :p

Yep, that PSX USB Adaptor is the best 10 bones anyone can spend.

Especially since it makes my full featured(the most powerful PC I've ever used) laptop the ultimate portable console. Life is great when you own over 12,000 ROMs.

yea lol.... All the systems in one place and you takem anywhere defenetly sounds like me how much does 12,000 take up on your PC.?

I got about 10GB on my laptop just on games could be less because I remeber getting rid of some DC games

Nowdays I can find PC gamepads that function exactly as playstation gamepads and come at the same price.

That saves me the money I would spend on a PSX USB adapter :)

June 12th, 2005, 13:45
yea there are those fancier controls that are better, but there's just something about a PSX controler, its like a shoe, its comfortable, and something you might have been used to for a long time. :)

I have an 40 GB HD on my laptop and a 120 GB portable HD that plugs into my USB

Life is great when you own over 12,000 ROMs.

its even better when you own full sets

heres my NES collection (http://www.uploadtemple.com/upload/1118586174.txt?)
OR: NEShave (http://www.uploadtemple.com/view.php/1118586174.txt) (I used goodNES to rename and sort them) (both links are the same)
and thats just NES, I also have the Sega Genesis full set and 6766 known
Super NES/Famicom ROMS

all of which i store on CD's (the SNES roms alone take up five 700mb CD-R's)

yeah I know its a lot of roms but Im a hardcore oldschool gamer
and also it was very easy to find full sets (very)

I stick with (U) and [!] ROMs mostly, unless it was not released in the US

Nice collection you have there.

June 12th, 2005, 15:52
yeah I've been kinda meaning to get rid of the bad dumps overdumps and
some games that are not from my region (U)
But there is just so many that I dont even bother to look through them

anyway, I dont care cause their not taking up any space on my HD

I think I have over 20,000+ roms now, I feel like I can start an arcade machine here

June 12th, 2005, 16:03
You could start a ROM library.

I have no use for the bad dumps, I only collect the best working ones. It's not like I plan to serve them, I have them for fun only.
