snk neo-geo mame

i was wondering if anyone could help me out. i cant get the snk neo geo games to work in mame when i click the game it loads it up and then the screen blinks and then i am brought right back to the games menu. i have the ng-lo bios so i have no clue why it isnt working it used to work fine for me and now it doesnt. any assistance would be appreciated thanx

You need an updated neogeo bios bios (neogeo.zip) on your rompath. Those are the needed files on the neogeo.zip (MAME 0.97):

yes i have that in my rom directory, I audit the game and it is ok. but when i click the game it loads it and then flashes and goes back to game selecet menu.

Download a more recent Mame, Mame32, Mame32plus or Mame32fx version. That was a problem on some recent version but it's fixed now

i was using mame 32 .96 i got mame 32 fx .97 and they are working now. thanx for the asissitance it was helpful and greatly appreciated.
