Hi. I downloaded a few roms including Earthbound, Star Fox and Mario RPG the other day, and it strikes me that it would just be more comfortable playing the games on a real Super Nintendo, which I do have.

Really, I'm just posting to check if Starwing, Earthbound and Mario RPG, etc would be relatively easy to find in games shops, or if they're pretty hard to come by.

I live in the UK, and I wasn't even sure of Earthbound or Mario RPG had even come out over here. Thanks for any help.

Most snes games are gone. You might find some luck in smaller game shops but you're best bet is ebay.

My local Gamestation as quite a selection of preowned SNES and N64 games, but I thought the ones I want might be harder to find. Then again, they had two copies of Ocarina of Time last time I went in there.

I just found out that Mario RPG didn't come out over here, but what about Earthbound? I saw Starwing in there a few months ago, so that's probably not too hard to find.

One last thing - what would you say the best SNES controls on the PC are? At the moment I think I have the arrow keys to move, Z for A, X for X, CTRL for Y and ALT for B, and L and R are their corresponding letters.
- - It's hard to play games like Starwing, but maybe if I got a cheap pc controller......?

A cheap controller that has at least as many buttons as the system you want to play on would be a good start.

If you own a PlayStation, shop around for a PSX -> USB adapter.

Well, you could probably pick up a really cheap controller for even as low as $10, but for $20 you can pick up converters that let you use your SNES controller on your PC : )

This is just an example, I think there are other products out there that do the same job. Or atleast, you can buy it from someone else.

Just throwing the idea out. I recently uncovered my NES and SNES and their equipment and am reminiscing http://divine.yorisou.net/sprites/FF6/Cyan/swtlaugh.gif

For $12 USD you can get a PSX/N64 adapter though. The PSX is virtually identical to the SNES controller layout anyway so its really an added bonus. You can use two different controller types, and its also about 6 bucks cheaper, so you could pretty much have it shipped to you for the same price as just the other controller.

I own one and it works great for all my requirements. Since I play a lot of games on other systems, I have no problem recommending it to others

its not that hard i mean you should know how to download something from the web. now, if you read the rules you should know that we can't give you any link to illegal material like roms, bios, etc. but we can tell you to use google or a p2p program like limewire.
