i found a site showing how to mod roms
and when i use nesticle nes emu to see the color pallettes with the f4 option
i get a problem i cant get any roms to boot up on the emulator
the screen jus stays black...

Nesticle it's an old and discontinued emulator, so better try FCEultra, Nestopia, NNesterJe, Virtuanes, Rocknes...

If your roms are zipped they are probably encrypted,
thats why the screen stays black. Use a zip password cracking program
to find the password.

Look for another alternative emulators since Nesticle seemed unable to run those games. (Probably some mappers is still unemulated)

That's the second time you mention that one. I still don't think it's encryted problem since latest emulators can support zip files with no problems. :cool:

emmm..... does any nes emus have the pallette modifier thingy like nesticle?

well I was just posting it in case he didnt see that thread
zsnes wont play zipped roms that are encrypted (at least for me anyway)
it just shows a black screen, so I was just guessing that was the case here. :p

Every NES emulator has pallette functions. And Nesten or Olafnes could be considered as 'Special'. :)
