Visualboy Advance Help

Heya...
I'm having trouble with my visualboy advance 17.2 whenever I beat the Elite four in Pokemon Sapphire, and it goes thru all the credits, whenever i reload the game, it always says that the save file was corrupted or destroyed, and is now erased. I'd like help solving this problem please :)

i don't know if this makes a difference or not, but i also get a "The internal battery is dry" error whenever I start it up

You need to patch the rom with an ips file provided with the rom,in the same zipped file.
